The Dutch airline company KLM announced the introduction of plane ticket sales on social networks Facebook and Twitter. Friends and followers of KLM will receive personal emails containing a link for special deals offered on the company’s website where the acquisition can be completed.

This last step could soon be delegated entirely to online communities, especially in the case of Twitter, which seems to be getting closer to an agreement with  Stripe , the startup that permits the easy integration of its portal for the direct acceptance of payments. The microblog is continuously taking more convincing steps in the direction of social commerce. For example, last August, it hired the ex-CEO of TicketMaster Nathan Hubbard. The intention is that of allowing a user to make quick acquisitions while simultaneously checking the tweet flow so he never has to leave the microblog.
