London was the FinTech capital of Europe in 2014. And it will reconfirm itself as such in 2015. With just a glance at the list of the most important appointments for next year and it becomes apparent that the majority of finance and technology (FinTech) events will take place in the British city. While waiting for the list to evolve and grow, we have chosen the 10 most interesting events of 2015 that have already set their dates. Two will take place in the Italian city of Milan, one in Berlin, as well as the unmissable shows in Las Vegas and Barcelona, a demonstration of the fact that the FinTech subset is rising to its feet even within these contexts.

The Future of Mobile Payments (6 January, Las Vegas): the context is that of the Consumer Electronics Show, the first and foremost annual electronics show. The vice president of the digital platform for MasterCard, Mung Ki Woo, will give a talk about the future of mobile payments; the CEO of LoopPay, the digital wallet that has been accepted by 10 million shopkeepers and is based on Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST), Will Wang Graylin; and Adam White, director of business development and strategy at Coinbase.

The Fintech50  (29 January, London): the year begins with a bang in London, where FinTechCity will present the 50 most interesting European realities of the sector.

FinovateEurope (10 – 11 February, London): 7 minutes for 70 startups to present themselves followed by a moment to exchange ideas. This is the format for the Finovate event that will also take place in San Jose in May, and New York in September.

Mobile World Congress (2 – 5 March, Barcelona): the annual event dedicated to the mobile market and all of its declinations is always the best occasion to catch up on NFC developments, mobile payments and dedicated solutions.

Inside Bitcoins (5 – 6 March, Berlin): there are forewarnings that it will be another passionate year for the cryptocurrency. The conference dedicated to its developments will take off in Germany (in January in Singapore, April in New York, May in Hong Kong, July in Chicago, September in London, and November in San Diego). There will be discussions on topics like mining, the ecosystem of exchanges, and the role of Bitcoin in China.

E-commerce Forum (21 April, Milano): the show on Italian electronic commerce will hold its tenth edition in 2015. There will be space for startups, for data on the development of digital acquisitions in Italy, and for analyses on digital payments.

European Ambrosetti House (22 – 23 May, Cernobbio): last year the event on the economy hosted a talk on  Bitcoin, demonstrating an unprecedented opening up to the cryptocurrency and connected topics. All eyes are on what will appear in the 2015 edition.

FinDevr (June, London): appointment for FinTech developers over two days in June in London and in March in New York.

Fintech Week (September, London): once again in London for an entire week dedicated to FinTech.

Money2020 (25 – 29 October, Las Vegas): the meeting point, as it is called, between mobile, retail, marketing, data, and technology, with a contribution from over 500 speakers from 75 different countries.
