For me, there is nothing more important than school. The importance of learning, the importance of teaching. The key to our future is this. It is all about human capital as Rita Levi Montalcino so passionately stated in her last interview in 2010. If there is one thing that keeps all of the things I do together, more than anything else, from the last campaign Make in Italy, from Next di Repubblica to Chefuturo!, from the Cambiamo tutto! tour to Academy di StartupItalia!, it is the school. So, today, thanks to the contribution of a stellar partner like Axa, I am adding this blog: iSchool.
It is a word that has a history. It was the name of a great Wired cover in 2009 (are there any covers of Wired designed by the genius David Moretti that were not beautiful? I don’t think so.) It was also the title of a great conference organized in Rome in 2012 by the Chamber of Commerce at Palalottomatica with over 5,000 students applauding Alessandro Baricco, Bunker Roy, and many other school innovators. And, finally, it was the title of probably the most successful chapter in the little red book I wrote last summer, Cambiamo Tutto!. In it, I spoke of a revolution, not even really that silent, that was occurring. Of a school that was changing from the bottom, thanks to the passion of thousands of teachers and the talents of students.
